Still Here NYC® is a grassroots, citywide campaign created by Enders Project to celebrate the individuals, neighborhoods, and local businesses that continue to show up for New York City. As people come and go, this movement is for those who stayed — and are committed to building a stronger, more equitable city from the inside out.

Following the official trademark registration of Still Here NYC® in late 2025, we’re entering the next chapter of the campaign. 

Throughout December, New Yorkers are invited to participate in a free virtual walk/run, while businesses across the city can join Still Here NYC Week (December 1-7) by giving back in ways that feel right for them.

Throughout December, Still Here NYC® brings together individuals and local businesses through two simple ways to participate:

Virtual Walk/Run (All Month)

Walk or run 1 mile or 5K anywhere during December.

Participation is free.

NYC businesses are invited to:

• Choose one day to donate a small percentage of sales

• Rally staff or customers to participate

• Sponsor the campaign

Together we’re building a citywide tradition of local businesses giving back.

How It Works

• Register for free

• Walk or run 1 mile or 5K — solo or with others

• Complete it anytime during December—whether during Still Here NYC Week or later in the month.

• Do it anywhere — your neighborhood, a park, a treadmill, or your own route

• Share your participation using #StillHereNYC

This is not about speed or competition.

It’s about presence, pride, and community.

To date, the organization has awarded over $150,000 in scholarships to NYC youth for:

• Sports, summer camps, and after-school programs

• Mentorship and career development

This campaign exists to prove that community-centered action — led by local people and businesses — still matters.

Local Business Involvement

Still Here NYC® invites NYC-rooted businesses to participate in ways that feel right for them, including:

• Rallying staff or customers to participate together

• Choosing one day during the final two weeks of December to donate a small percentage of profits as part of the Still Here NYC® campaign

• Sponsoring the campaign

Still Here NYC Week serves as the annual kickoff to the broader December campaign, giving businesses a simple way to make a local impact while encouraging their customers, staff, and neighbors to participate throughout the month.
